Most builders know when to stop. When the schedule says move on. When the plan technically checks the box. I’ve just never been able to leave it there. Long before I ever picked up a hammer for a living, I was the kid who couldn’t leave a project alone — tinkering in the family garage, obsessed with Lego, spending school holidays in my father’s workshop, always taking something apart to understand how it actually worked.
That habit turned into a carpentry apprenticeship at 16, and by my third year I was already running my own projects — because once I’ve seen how something should be done, I’ve never been much good at waiting around for someone else’s permission to do it properly.
Five years and over 20 successfully delivered projects later, that habit hasn’t changed. I’m still the one on site, on every job, from the first conversation to the final walkthrough. Precision without compromise, clear communication, and a build that stays calm and organised even when the details get hard — that’s not a service model, it’s just how I’ve always worked.
